In the summer of 2010, we were again lucky to have Mariah join us in Norway. Just likelast year we were able to convince her to spend some time with us after her school semester was over. However this year we had a real job for her as a nanny for Jasper. In January Becki started working again for 2 days a week, but since Jasper was not old enough for Norwegian barnehage, Becki's friend Alexin watched him twice a week. That worked out great for everybody; it was enough time in the office for Becki, but not too much to start with either. It was just what Alexin was looking for, plus as it turned out it was great practice for her as she was expecting herself !! And Jasper was just enjoying everything. But since Alexin was due in June (Alaia was born on the 16th of June) and we would be in Stavanger until the end of July, we asked Mariah if she could be a nanny for those two last months. Since she had a great time last year, Mariah agreed to come back.

Mariah was lucky and arrived just in time to come along both to our trip to Iceland in May and Holland in June. In Iceland Mariah got her first experience with Jasper and had the pleasure of changing her first diaper. Apparently it wasn't as bad as she feared. In Holland she was there when Jasper was baptized and it was good to have at least one of Becki's family present there. Although there were not as many hytte trips this year since we were busy with Jasper and with packing up and getting ready for our move back. Just like last year though, lots of clothes and things to sort out, more food to be used before the end of our stay, so lots of cookies to be baked. Mariah ended her stay with all the parties, the hike to Kjerag and one final visit to Holland where she stayed with Helene in Groningen.
